Title:  System Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, configuration, integration and management of OS, server, virtualization, backup and storage infrastructure for enterprise, government and defence customers. Senior engineers will act as technical lead for overall project implementation or service delivery.
• Senior engineers will involve in the technical design/review, creating low-level technical design and present to customer for approval.
• Engage and discuss with customers, partners, and other project stakeholders for any technical requirements.
• Creating and maintaining various Systems Documentation for projects.
• Work with Project Managers and team of engineers to deliver projects within schedule and budget.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of related working experience in Information Technology industry preferably OS, server, virtualization, backup, storage and apps/infra monitoring.
• Familiar with some of the following:
  • Operating Systems: Microsoft, Red Hat etc.
  • Servers: DELL EMC, HPE, Nutanix etc.
  • Virtualization: VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft Hyper-V etc.
  • Application: Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Clustering, SCVMM, Certificate Authority etc.
  • Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, MS SCOM etc.
  • Patching Tools: MS WSUS, MS SCCM, Red Hat Satellite etc.
  • Backup: Veritas, Veeam, DELL EMC, Commvault etc.
  • Storage: DELL EMC, HPE, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp etc.
  • Automation: Terraform, Ansible etc
• Experience in SI or product vendor environment preferred.
• Experience in applying security hardening settings using industry security standard, e.g., CIS.
• Understand basic networking, WAN / LAN concepts and the TCP/IP protocol stack.
• Candidates possessing experience with relevant certification are highly preferred.
• Strong written, verbal communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills, with good communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum guidance and monitoring, a good team player.
