ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte. Ltd. (SatSys) is a joint venture founded in 2010 by ST Engineering, DSO National Laboratories, and Nanyang Technological University. Today with our expertise and comprehensive suite of satellite engineering and test facility, SatSys design and develop satellite buses to integrate with various payloads, such as Electro-Optical (EO) camera, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and more, to meet the mission objectives of our customers.

We are seeking an experienced Compliance & Logistics Services Manager to lead our global trade compliance and logistics operations including freight, inventory and facilities management. This role ensures adherence to international trade regulations and internal export control requirements, while driving efficiency in import/export processes as well as logistics services management.

- Trade Compliance
- Develop, implement, and monitor import/export policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure with the Singapore Customs Act, U.S. Export Control Regulations, EU Dual-Use Regulations, and internal export control requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international trade laws, customs regulations, trade restrictions, and export controls.
- Provide guidance on regulatory changes, license conditions, and compliance matters for export activities and international exhibitions.
- Prepare accurate, regulation-compliant documentation and maintain comprehensive records for audits and inspections.
- Logistics Services Management
- Coordinate and manage freight forwarding activities for import and export shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth transportation and clearance processes.
- Monitor freight costs, negotiate rates, and optimize shipping methods to achieve operational efficiency.
- Ensure all freight activities comply with applicable trade regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation and track shipments to ensure visibility and accountability.
- Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, equipment and services to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory standards
- Develop and implement facility maintenance schedules, inspections and statutory certifications to maintain operational readiness
- Handle space planning, asset management and facility improvements
- Prepare annual facilitu budgets and tracking of facility management expenditures
- Maintain stock levels and manage replenishments for non-main storage locations; prepare and coordinate system and physical transfers with satellite manufacturing team
- Perform periodic reviews of ageing and discontinued stocks and present recommendations for write-off to management
- Prepare regular inventory and ageing reports (finished goods and repair parts), generate month-end comparisons against budget, provide data opeartional analysis and support obsolescence reporting
- Support other operational tasks such as continuous process improvement, team projects and assigned tasks
Qualities We Value
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Customs Act, U.S. Export Control Regulations, and EU Dual-Use Regulations.
- Familiarity with international trade laws, customs regulations, and export control requirements.
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, and vendor management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and the ability to understand system processes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing compliance programs and conducting training sessions.
- Willing to take up secondary roles as part of job requirements.
