About our Business – Unmanned & Integrated Systems
ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte. Ltd. (SatSys) is a joint venture founded in 2010 by ST Engineering, DSO National Laboratories, and Nanyang Technological University. Today with our expertise and comprehensive suite of satellite engineering and test facility, SatSys design and develop satellite buses to integrate with various payloads, such as Electro-Optical (EO) camera, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and more, to meet the mission objectives of our customers.

As a Senior / Spacecraft Engineer specializing in Missions and GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control), you will be responsible for designing, analysing, and implementing spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control systems to ensure mission success. You will work closely with mission planners, systems engineers, and hardware teams to develop algorithms and control strategies that maintain spacecraft stability, trajectory, and orientation throughout various mission phases. Your role will include simulation, testing, and troubleshooting of GNC systems, as well as supporting mission operations and anomaly resolution.

- Perform mission analysis and design of GNC sub-system to meet system requirements.
- Specify, evaluate, and manage GNC suites of sensors and actuators.
- Design and implement algorithms and software to support various pointing modes and attitude control scenarios.
- Perform integration and testing of GNC hardware and software modules.
- Develop test plans and procedures for the verification of GNC performance by software simulation, hardware-in-the-loop simulations and In-orbit calibration and validation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for spacecraft GNC architecture, design, and development.
Qualities We Value
- Knowledge in Aerospace, Mechatronics, Electrical (Automatic Control and Robotics) or equivalent
- Expertise in control and estimation algorithms (continuous as well as discrete)
- Proficient with Python, MATLAB, C/C++ programming.
- Ability to carry out the flight software design, implementation, integration and testing on embedded platforms
- Experience in the development of large-scale and complex system
- Good knowledge of the sensor and actuators used for satellite attitude and orbit control.
- Good knowledge of satellite orbit mechanics and experience in using tools like STK, GMAT, Orekit
