Title:  Manager, Business Development

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Analyse and identify trends in aviation MRO industry and business development opportunities, and address these trends / opportunities with development of new ideas and business concepts
2. Provide regular notification and periodic updates on market / industry development and competitor analysis and landscape
3. Conduct competitive analysis and provide/evaluate feasibility studies for new business opportunities
4. Support and eventually lead acquisition /JV projects, analyse and evaluate risk and cost, strategise and submit proposals to management for decision making
5. Negotiate and prepare agreements or contracts for finalization of acquisition /JV projects
6. Facilitate and organize project team involving operation and related supporting staff concerned for new businesses

JOB REQUIREMENT

1. A good basic engineering degree coupled with a postgraduate business qualification (degree/diploma) is preferred.
2. Global knowledge of aviation and related industries and businesses.
3. Well versed with the aviation industry including maintenance and engineering businesses.
4. Broad network with airlines, a/c maintenance facilities, aviation authorities and market intelligence agencies.
5. Business/commercially savvy and analytical. Self-motivated with leadership traits, and possess good influencing and negotiation skills.
6. Possess some experience in project planning, costing analysis and drafting/evaluating feasibility studies
7. Ability to write well (English) and have confidence in presentation.
8. Other languages are an additional asset but are not essential
9. The job covers overseas projects and willingness to travel is important
