Assistant Project Manager

•             Plan for, manage and monitor large-scale software development and system integration projects to ensure that projects are executed based on the project plan to meet identified business needs and outcome, within agreed parameters of cost, duration and quality.

•             Lead cross-functional teams comprising subject matter experts and technical specialists to ensure smooth the delivery of projects and programmes

•             Programme risk management

•             Partners and vendor management.

•             Advocate and lead in the adoption of industry best practices in software project management (example Agile and Scrum practices and methodology) within the department.

•             Lead internal and external stakeholder engagement and business case development

•             Lead post-implementation reviews to validate project benefits/outcomes realization

•             Manage project documentations and quality assurance required from QMS

•             Release management including version control for integrations coordination, Test and Site Installation.

•             Keeping track & report status of Change Requests and faults/error management.

•             Guide/mentor fellow developers to grow the overall competency of the team






•             Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline

•             At least 5 years relevant working experience in large scale Security / ICT project implementation with 3 years experience in programme management capacity

•             Able to work independently and as a good team player

•             Analytical, management and planning skills with a strong attention to detail

•             Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide quality written assessment and present to senior management

•             Proactive, collaborative with good stakeholder management skills

•             Experience managing project system integration with software development. Will be added advantage if experience include hybrid cloud integrations.

•             Experience with government related project management will be a plus.

•             Have a good working knowledge and/or experience on API, messaging, OPC, SCADA integrations will be a plus.

•             Understand the concept of layered architectures, components, interfaces, messaging and patterns.

•             Experience involved in the design, development, implementation of large scale  and highly available enterprise wide architecture systems with complex and diverse integration with other applications and systems.

•             A good communicator, planner and able to motivate team

•             Certification in PMI or PMP or CITPM will be an added advantage

•             Relevant experience in deploying solutions in any of the following:

- VMware products, Microsoft Windows Servers (AD, SQL Patch management) SAN, Backup software, Solarwinds, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Cisco solutions, Alcatel networking products, F5, VMware products, Solarwinds, Data Centre migration.etc will be added advantage
