Job Description
- Develop a Strategic Risk Programme - forward looking assessment of risks on the horizon and impact on the Group, working in conjunction with key stakeholders such as Group Strategy and Sustainability Office, Global Business Areas (GBAs) & Defence Business Areas (DBAs)
- Assist Group Strategy department and Financial Planning & Analysis department to embed Sustainability as a source of strategic advantage.
- Assist GBAs & DBAs to identify business opportunities/risks arising from sustainability trends and developments. This is part of the group’s 5-year planning process to be presented to the board and also to investors during ST ENGG’s second Capital Markets Day.
- Be part of the Climate Change Working Committee and participate in the adoption of TCFD framework for sustainability reporting to be achieved progressively in the next 2-3 years
- Participate in Group Risk & Assurance Department’s planning and implementing of sustainability risk assurance.
- Be involved in improving the group’s scores in S&P and Moody’s (eg Virgeo Eiris) sustainability ratings.
- Drive the Climate Change risk assessment exercise, working in conjuction with Group Strategy and Sustainability Office
- Conduct trend analysis to identify emerging threats as part of proactive risk monitoring
Job Requirements
- University degree with 6 - 8 years’ experience in the area of risk and sustainability
- Broad knowledge of risk management practices,
- Knowledge of legal requirements and controls
- Good written and oral communication skills,
- Analytical and problem solving skills,
- Influencing skills in securing buy-in to recommendations and business benefits,
- Consultative approach to business relationship management, proactively sharing “what works best” with others across the Group,
