Responsibilities:
Security
- Formulate and review company security policies to safeguard assets
- Dissemination of security policies to staff, including conducting security awareness programmes.
- Key player in the launch of ST Engineering Security Awareness Day
- Interface on all security issues and champion the interests of Group on security matters
- Conduct scheduled and surprise audits in areas of documents, information, physical, personnel and IT security.
- Conduct security interview, briefings and education.
- Conduct preliminary investigations to determine cause and implications of security incidents and make recommendations to prevent and minimize recurrences.
- Monitor and analyse reported and detected security breaches and make recommendations to management for remedial procedures and measures to be taken.
- Oversee outsourced security service providers and managed day-to-day security operation of facilities
Port Security
- Conduct initial comprehensive security survey
- Develop, maintain and implement Security plan. Also, undertake regular security inspection of plan.
- Recommend and incorporate as appropriate, modify the plan in order to correct deficiencies and to update the plan.
- Conduct drills and exercises as required by the Act
Administrative
- Manage company’s bus transport system
- Conduct tender briefing and work closely with purchasing department
- Periodic review of pick up and drop off points
- Manage company’s dormitories, housing of foreign workers, oversee foreign workers well-being and so on.
- Organise events annually (e.g. National Day Observance Ceremony, SAF Day Rededication Ceremony, Presentation of Long Service Award).
- Enforce Code of Conduct on employees and contractors, and ensure the discipline of all employees and contractors.
Requirements
- Broad knowledge and management experience in Security
- Must be an approved International and Port Facility Security Officer
- Good sense of organizational inefficiencies and know where they are created
- Ability to write investigation and audit reports
- Understanding of inner organizational workings, work cultures and their effects.
- Ability to recognize linkage and synergies between departments and stakeholders (internal and external)
- Ability to report to work during silent hours and weekends, and ability to work long hours.
