       Key Job Accountabilities:


  1. Process
  • In-charge of at least two mechanical repair processes and two engine components with rotation to others
  • Troubleshoot process issues
  • Resolve daily production issues in a timely manner
  • Technical Queries to OEM or Customer
  • Assist in process investigation
  • Writing / transferring Technical Data instructions worksheets for piece / engine component pertaining to assigned process / component from engine manual
  • Generate process and qualify parameters
  • Process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Cost Savings
  • Basic trending for process parameters
  • Link up with Authorities on issues pertaining to processes / components


  1. Cap Setup
  • To do First Article on new Engine repair procedures, Service Bulletins
  • To do Capability Setup on new equipment or processes; may include writing of technical specification for equipment buy, utilities
  • Design and RFQ for new fixtures / Jigs
  • Document and Justify Tooling / Consumable Equivalency which deviate from engine technical data
  • Carry out Tooling Review and Control


  1. Documentation
  • Engine Publication Review (ESM, SB, ADs, TR, IC,) including process controlling Specification (AMS, ASTM, BS)
  • Worksheet amendments
  • In-house specifications amendments
  • Prepare machine maintenance worksheet (FMM)
  • Prepare Aviation Hazard identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)


  1. Operation Support
  • Provide Tech support to Operation
  • Raise TVR, CDR   for engine repair (matters that deviate from engine manual
  • Translate Engine deviation / clarification to in-house documents eg Technical Memo, Engineering Bulletin, Engineering Note
  • Attend, resolve and smoothened operations flow
  • Review, investigate and provide solutions to Open Reporting issues raised by operation


  1. Investigation
  • Assist in Investigation of engine component repair processes issues
  • Carry out root cause analysis, provide recommendations for corrective and preventive measures
  • Follow up on investigation details and ensure no re-occurrence


  1. Troubleshooting
  • Resolve repair processes issues     


Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Fresh Graduates may apply - typically needs a minimum of 2-year training
  • Preferably with 2-3 years working experience in Engines and Components Repair MRO Environment to be independent contribution
  • Strong Fundamentals in Engineering Drawing interpretations.
  • Understanding of Repair Processes is an added advantage
  • Some Understanding of regulatory NDT Requirements
  • Some Understanding of FAA 45 /EASA 145 regulations
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Good Computer skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Self-motivated to learn more on repair processes and equipment through self-learning / reading, to get an in-depth knowledge
  • Keep to timeline / schedule on assigned task
  • Keenness to explore / look at new technologies for repair processes, process improvement, safety, environment etc
