Responsibilities

 

  • Supports all aspects of contractual claims arising from the Contract in an ethical manner at all times and in accordance with procedures.
  • Executes processes and procedures to anticipate, mitigate and advise on all aspects of contractual claims.
  • Assists in the preparation of high quality recommendation reports
  • Identify time and cost events affecting the construction process
  • Research and draft claim documents
  • Draft correspondence related to delays and additional costs
  • Establish claims procedures for the evaluation and management of change orders and contractor claims.
  • Review contractor proposals and negotiate & formalise contract variations
  • Assist in project close-out activities associated with claims, cost and contractual issues.
  • Address claims, contractual matters and provide expert claims advice.
  • Perform commercial evaluation, analyze and negotiate proposals, prepare change notices, change orders/amendment and claim logs.
  • For insurance and guarantee, to monitor adherence to contract(s) provisions, maintain expiration schedule and monitor renewal.

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience
  • Degree
  • Knowledge of contract law and dispute procedures is an advantage
  • Familiar with PSSCOC
  • Conversant in all aspects of plant process, building design and construction.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills to liaise with contractors / vendors / suppliers / colleagues
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken with written technical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and independently with minimum supervision
