Job Description for Manager, Sales & Business Development (International Business)



Reporting To

The Manager, Sales & Business Development reports to:

  1. the Division Manager (DM), Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Networks & Sensors;
  2. The Business Unit (BU) Manager, Advanced Networks & Sensors;

and working together with

  1. The International Business Development & Sales (IDBS) Manager, Advanced Networks & Sensors.


Job Overview

The Manager, Sales & Business Development, is to establish, maintain and expand relationships with strategically important overseas Customers, Manufacturers/Suppliers. He is responsible to solicit production sales orders from overseas Customers to meet annual KPI and sales target.


The Manager is to promote and market our manufacturing services to provide a One-Stop Center for the design & development, prototyping, build-to-print production, integration and maintenance of electronic modules and systems for overseas Customers.



Responsibilities and Duties

  • Focused on the international growth of electronics manufacturing business.
  • Develop and formulate business development strategies that focus on business expansion
  • Network with customers and strategic partners to foster relationships that will assure the delivery of the sales order target and future growth as declared in the business plan.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Seek out new potential overseas partners and customers.
  • Plan, organize and coordinates engagement programs and visits with strategic and key customers for Senior Management.
  • Drive related marketing activities, including organize and coordinate with internal staff and external personnel in showcasing our manufacturing services and capabilities in major international trade exhibitions.
  • Gather intelligence and requirements to initiate project proposals and formulate potential businesses.


Accountabilities and Performance Measures

  • Secure sales order targets as assigned by the DM;
  • Develop and communicate business strategies to higher management;
  • Fulfill planned international engagement events;
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.



Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven international sales experience in electronics manufacturing domain is cardinal.
  • Degree in an Engineering field.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Independent, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively within the sales team, and also with other stakeholders (e.g. project managers, engineers).
  • Ability to travel internationally.
