Project Manager-Newbuild (Middle East)

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development and implementation of Project ManagementPlan [PMP], Project Start-up and Project Close-out until warranty closure.
- Responsible for ensuring the project is administered and executed to the satisfaction of the client in accordance to CTS and safety standards and compliant to company policies and procedures.
- Organize project team and fortify all required positions with appropriate and competent persons to undertake project management functions of the project.
- Manage project to meet cost, schedule, safety, quality and contractual requirements.
- Lead scheduling and tracking, budgeting and cost control.
- Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented.
- Review manhours and duration forecasts to completion and resource requirements and monthly POC.
- Review monthly Estimation-At-Completion (EAC) for submission to Finance for distribution to Management.
- Initiate and work with internal stakeholders on VOs to customers and suppliers.
- Conduct progress meetings to manage issues and produce monthly management report.
- Support in project tender when called upon.
- Mentoring of engineers.
- Manage customer expectations and maintaining good customer relations.
- Capture lessons learnt for post-mortem reviews
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Marine Engineering/Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering or Naval Architecture
- Possess SRM Cert will be advantageous
- Possess Project Management Skills in: Planning, Scheduling and Costing, Risk management, HR management, Customer Relationship management.
- 5 years relevant working experience in ship repair / ship building and/or offshore projects
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, effective writing and computing skills
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
- Able to relocate to a Middle East country on 6 months rotational basis, and frequent travels for the duration of the project
