Senior Engineer

Qualification

• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical
• Minimum 5 years related experience in MRO environment with involvement in mechanical repair processes e.g. sheet metal, welding, machining etc.

Position Description

• Taking charge of assigned mechanical repair processes, knowing the technical aspects of these processes and various associated hardware
• Know various engines’ standard practice manual (SPM) requirements
• Development of repair processes, compiling in-house process procedures, procedures documentation, repair worksheet compilation
• Capability setup for engine components, including program management, costing, timeline, purchase of equipment, tooling, training etc.
• Ability to design tooling to support process requirements
• Establish consumable / tooling equivalency
• Ability to handle projects and follow them through to completion with minimum supervision
• Establish and enhance repair procedures and improve process robustness through process improvement and standard work
• Provide day-to-day assistance to workshop on process and part issues
• Hands-on ability, to work with workshop staff in capabilities setup
• Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) / Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and corrective actions
• Be updated on repair technology, review areas for innovation / improvement, application of AI / Robotics leading to cost savings / safety work environment
