Assistant Manager, Procurement

Role and Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage a team of Procurement Executive to support Operations in purchasing of materials and services which include sourcing, competitive bid analysis, contract management and Purchase order management,
  • Key Performance Indicators include achieving set saving targets and implementing actions plans to address gaps.
  • Ensure compliance to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities and drive improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members for performance.
  • As a business partner to the Business Units in support of the overall company operational objectives.



  • Business or Engineering degree from recognized universities or colleges.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar managerial position
  • Experience auto industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes with sound system knowledge such as SAP or equivalent.
  • Good analytical, problem solving, communications and planning skills.
  • Organized, possess a sense of urgency and have the ability to be flexible and work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Able to work independently  or with cross functional team
