Senior Principal Engineer, ES, Automation & Electrical

Responsibilities

Lead a team of electrical engineers to apply knowledge and experience to manage engineering and design of a vessel. Able to perform implementation of power system and electric propulsion design for Naval and Commercial vessel, and product development. Also, to evaluate design of subsystem that will involve participating in various design review meetings with pre-requisite work, including check and evaluation of specifications and its engineering drawing to ensure systems are in accordance with contract specifications and marine classification rules.

Requirements

• At least 8 years’ experience in design and engineering projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering related or Master of Engineering.
• Diploma holders with strong engineering experience may also be considered
• Knowledge in MS office/ 2D and 3D CAD software is a must
• Knowledge and ability to carry out 3D model based design information
• Working knowledge of competing and alternative technologies will be advantageous
• Knowledge and experience of marine electrical and automation system design
• Familiar with standards applicable to engineering disciplines and awareness of classification, industry, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent inter-personal skills dealing with internal and external customers
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimum guidance.
• Determined, results orientated and able to work within deadlines.
