Our Mission Software & Services business provides leading-edge mission-critical command, control, and communications (C3) systems, secured IT infrastructure, and managed services. We support our clients' innovation journey through design thinking, analytics, and AI-enabled decision support using our full suite of cloud computing solutions. We provide intelligent, actionable insights and sustainable solutions to our valued partners across diverse industries, including defence, government, and commercial sectors.

You will be part of a project team delivering innovative software solutions and achieving project objectives through your assigned role and technical expertise. You will work closely with project managers, technical leads, architects, and fellow engineers throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

• Collaborate with software engineers, technical leads, and architects to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications.
• Perform software implementation, integration, verification, and testing activities.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project artefacts.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software engineering practices, development processes, and solution quality.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and modern software engineering practices.
• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain AI-enabled software solutions leveraging Generative AI technologies, intelligent automation, and cloud-based AI services where applicable.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and emerging AI technologies to enhance software quality, engineering productivity, operational effectiveness, and user experience.

Qualities We Value

• Basic programming experience with C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, Typescript and Python is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and intelligent automation.
• Familiarity with full-stack development and modern frameworks such as Angular, Node.js, React, and related technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with software engineering principles and agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent AI coding assistants is an advantage.
• Familiarity with vector databases, semantic search technologies, and enterprise knowledge management solutions is an advantage.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) is an advantage.
• Experience developing or integrating AI-powered features using cloud AI platforms such as Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, or equivalent solutions is an advantage.
• Understanding of AI application design patterns, including conversational AI, document search, knowledge retrieval, summarization, recommendation engines, and decision-support systems.
• Understanding of Responsible AI principles, including AI governance, security, data privacy, explainability, and ethical AI considerations.
• Awareness of AI security risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, model vulnerabilities, and the secure deployment of AI-enabled applications in enterprise environments is an advantage.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, frameworks, and AI capabilities.
