Overall Purpose of Role:

 

To support Transformation Office to lead and drive in the process and continuous improvement initiatives, with focus on digitalisation and AI as enablers. This role is crucial for driving operational excellence, enhancing efficiency and productivity, and integrating digital and AI solutions into our processes where feasible.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Process Analysis: As part of the company’s Continuous Improvement (CI) roadmap, to conduct thorough evaluations of current shipyard processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement and follow through on the implementation of projects
  2. Digitalization and AI Initiatives: Incorporate digitalization strategies and AI initiatives where feasible to streamline processes, reduce waste, enhance productivity and analytical solutions for informed decision making.
  3. Improvement Strategies: Utilize methodologies such as Lean, PDCA and Kaizen to develop and implement process improvement plans.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including engineering, production, IT, and quality assurance, to ensure effective implementation of process and digital improvements.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process and continuous improvements and ensure continuous enhancement and savings.
  6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on new processes, digital tools, and continuous improvement techniques.
  7. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of process changes, digital initiatives, improvements, outcomes and savings.

      8. Audits: Perform internal and facilitate external audits on project implementations and savings.

 

 

Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • Knowledge and grasp of Microsoft Office

Requirements:

 

 

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Certification in Lean will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Improvement or Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Preferably with at least 3 years in a shipyard environment, but not a must
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders, from senior management to operations departments.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, analysis tools, and digitalization technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and task ownership
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • 5 days work week
  • Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
