Responsibilities


Productivity:
•    Daily briefing & deployment of workers/Sub-Contractors onboard or work-site.
•    Perform daily on site supervision and coordinate operations activities.
•    Production detailed planning for installation of systems.
•    Plan & update daily manpower deployment record & work progress. 
•    Daily manpower hours charge to various systems in accordance to actual deployment.
•    Inspection of work site and confirm work site/zone area is safe to work.
•    Monitor work progress, if delay, check cause of delay and rectify immediately
•    Coordinate with other trades on safety issues & work related matters.
•    Supervise workers at work site and ensure plan progress is achieved.
•    Check daily deployment card on what the worker is assigned for the day.
•    Planning for following day work- Create Plan Job Card, update job done.
•    Resolve technical issues with EDC & other Trades.
•    Plan & Prepare Materials required for the Job.
•    SAP to DRL materials for planned job 
•    Monitor productivity of Pipe-Fitters & Welders.
•    Prepare and submit field reports to Owner and SRM for approval (Comml Repair).
•    Planning of Over Time for workers
    a. Review work done is within system budget 
    b. Check daily progress of work area 

Quality:
•    Perform QC checks on works in progress & completed works.
•    Ensure installation is as per latest revision of Schematic & Arrangement Dwg's.
•    Check on all critical components of systems installed.
•    Check on workers using the right tools/equipment for the job to produce quality job.
•    Piping Quality Standards adherence - Piping general / Project specific.
•    Liaise & raise RFI to QA for systems completed for acceptance.

Safety:
•    Enforce on the use of appropriate PPEs for all workers under his charge.
•    Maintain safe working practices among his group both on board and workshop.
•    Prepare & attend VSCC meeting as member. 
•    Highlight any housekeeping and safety issues observed onboard.
•    Apply for Permit to Work as required.
•    Enforce on Permit-To-Work system on all workers under his charge.
•    Conduct weekly safety hours briefing for all workers under his charge.
•    Conduct Risk Assessment (RA) briefing to workers and sub-contractors.
•    Ensure Dept S.O.P is strictly adhered & work can be carried out safely.
•    Enforce and check housekeeping of work area for all workers under his charge.
•    Check equipment / tools expiry date.

 

Requirement


•    Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
•    Preferably 3-4 years working experience in Marine industry or Refinery Piping works

•    IT knowledge in Project Planning

•    Familiar with Classification Rules on Shipboard Piping Systems. 
•    Knowledge on Hydraulics/ Pneumatic systems.
