Title:  Assistant Engineer/Supervisor, Hull-Benoi

Responsibilities:

Productivity:

• Perform daily on site supervision and operations activities:
  1. Briefing & Deployment of workers

1. 2. Inspection of work site 

1. 3. Preparation for VSCC meeting

1. 4. Supervise workers at work site

Quality:

Ensure all the works are performed based on the standards, specification and drawings.

• Perform QC check on completed work/jobs
• Ensure right tools and equipment are used for performing the assigned job
• Liaise with QA to arrange for inspection (RFI)

Safety:

• Enforce the using of appropriate PPEs for all workers under his charge
• Maintain safe working practices among his in-charge and both on board and workshop
• Attend daily VSCC meeting
• Enforce strict comply of Permit-To-Work system of all workers under his charge
• Conduct weekly safety hours briefing for all workers in the department
• Conduct Risk Assessment (RA) briefing to workers and sub-contractors under his charge to make sure that the work can be carried out safely
• Conduct BBS observation/ hazard reporting/Incident & Accident reporting
• Enforce and check housekeeping for all workers under his charge

Requirements:

• Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical or Marine & Offshore Engineering and completed Lifting Supervisor course an advantage
• Preferably 3 – 5 years of working experiences
• Fresh mechanical engineering diploma holders are welcome (for AE position)
• Work in marine industry or similar capacity
• Experience in shipbuilding rule and regulation

Other Information:

•  Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
