Responsibilities:

Productivity:

  • Application of permit for the purpose of complying with PTW system.
  • Attend VSCC meeting especially if ballasting of the vessel is for stability purposes (SW or industrial water) or for consumption (FW).
  • Supervision of C/Hs & workers on works assigned by the DH/Manager.
  • Brief workers on work requirement and deadline.
  • Liaise with yard’s internal customers to ensure a smooth flow of operation.

 

Quality:

  • To ensure all assigned job are completed within the agreed deadline.
  • To exercise reasonable care when carrying out the assigned job.

 

Safety:

  • Monitor worker’s safety on site during work.
  • Ensure RA is being practiced on-site based on RA framework.
  • Comply to PTW system for workers under his charge.
  • Involved in monthly Safety work plan.
  • Strictly comply with occupational safety and health rules, regulations and procedures at all times and to exercise maximum effort and good judgment to prevent accident to himself and his fellow workers.
  • To make use of all personal protective equipment, safety devices or other appliances provided for his team’s protection by the Company.
  • To check work area and equipment before starting work, and report all unsafe conditions, any hazards and defective equipment to his immediate supervisor without delay.
  • To report all injuries, including minor cases to his immediate superiors and seek first aid treatment.
  • To maintain good housekeeping in his workplace at all times

 

Requirements:

  • ITE Higher Nitec in Marine Engineering/Offshore Engineering (with 2 years experience in the maritime industry)
  • Preferably equipped with SSSC certificate
  •  Able to prepare and interpret general docking plan
  • Able to prepare and conduct docking/undocking operations on Syncrolift and/or Floating Dock
  • Able to prepare and conduct transferring operations on Syncrolift (Benoi)
  • Able to assist Asst. Dock Master or Dock Master by giving clearance and countdown for positioning of the vessel during internal shifting, docking and undocking operations

  • Location: Gul (Island-wide transport provided)
  • 5 days work week
  • Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
