Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day to day project supervision for conversion and repairs of vessels
- Ensure work assigned is carried out effectively and productively in order to meet customer specifications and requirements
- Deploy effective utilization of manpower and material resources in the department.
- Liaising with other departments on daily production schedule
- Assist in Planning of department manpower projections
- Assess and plan weekly manpower deployment and allocation of repair vessel to Sub-contractor
- Obtain and monitor drawings/ technical information
- Attend assigned project progress meeting/HAT meeting
- Assess staff work performance under his charge as required
- Identify training needs for his men
- Monitor job progress and man hours of the assigned project
- Study and evaluate the work processes and methods of the department and explore new ideas to improve work quality and productivity
- Liaise with owners’ representative and/or class surveyor during witness/inspection
- Highlight areas of need to other trades to clear their work (e.g. temporary lightings, staging, closing of access, etc.)
- Conduct RA assessment/ BBS observation/ hazard reporting
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 2 -3 years relevant experience in Electrical operations in marine industry
- Knowledge of class requirements will be advantageous
- Knowledge of ship’s electrical system, control system and their classification requirements
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Knowledge on Accommodations and Carpentry works will be advantageous
- Able to interpret technical/electrical drawings and specifications
- Possess man-management experience for workers and subcontractors
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays due to project’s requirements
- Able to work under outdoor conditions, including grease and dust

- Location: 55 Gul Road (Island-wide transport provided)
- 5 days work week
- Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
