Responsibilities

 

Tender Support

  • Support tender and bid activities by shaping technical solution concepts, covering areas including vessel design and layout, machinery configuration, and equipment selection
  • Investigate and evaluate trade-offs between alternative engineering design options to determine cost-effective and competitive solutions
  • Work closely with other subject matter experts across disciplines to integrate vessel-wide designs into coherent solutions
  • Translate customer RFIs, RFPs, RFQs into clear, structured engineering requirements and inputs
  • Support compliance matrix development, assumptions & non-compliance registers, and technical query/clarification management
  • Support preparation of tender technical specifications using standardised templates

 

Product Development 

  • Contribute to the productisation of viable platforms, transforming solutions into scalable and repeatable products that can be deployed across multiple customers and markets
  • Support efforts to streamline non-recurring engineering work and accelerate speed-to-market through encouraging standardisation and reuse in product design

 

Capability Development

  • Strengthen and sustain advanced engineering capabilities that underpin a product driven design approach
  • Gain and deepen expertise in modelling and simulation domains (e.g., Hydrodynamics, Underwater Radiated Noise), contributing to improved correlation between analysis, testing, and operational performance
  • Develop reusable engineering methods, models, and tools that enhance design confidence and efficiency

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 2 years of relevant experience in engineering design
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino, and/or other 3D CAD software
  • Basic understanding of and exposure to Piping & Integration Diagrams
  • Strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow within a collaborative team environment.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with ANSYS or StarCCM+ beneficial

  • 5 days work week
  • Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
